What this site is
StupidGames is an independent, original browser-game studio with one running joke: the most stressful, jargon-heavy corners of modern life — margin calls, credit-card interest, CAPTCHAs, screen-time, landlording — make absurdly good comedy when you turn them into tiny games. Every game is built in-house in plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript, plays free with no download and no signup, and runs on phone or desktop.
Why we make them
Two reasons. First, these topics are genuinely funny once you stop pretending they aren't. Second, the joke is a Trojan horse for something useful: every game is paired with a plain-English guide that explains the real concept underneath — what a margin call actually is, why paying the minimum keeps you in debt, how CAPTCHAs and behavioral profiling work. You come for the bit; you leave knowing slightly more than you did.
What you'll find here
- Original games across Finance, Real Estate, Crypto, Tech, Wellness and Auto — each a self-contained comedy with its own mechanic.
- Guides & explainers that turn each game's premise into an honest, sourced, plain-English breakdown of the real-world topic.
- The Learn hub — longer reads on the concepts behind the games.
A note on the comedy
Everything here is parody. The games exaggerate for laughs and are not financial, legal, medical, or any other kind of professional advice. Characters like Joe the trader and Darren the landlord are fictional. The guides, by contrast, aim to be accurate and genuinely informative — if you spot something wrong in one, please tell us.
How we keep it free
StupidGames is supported by advertising (Google AdSense) and occasional affiliate offers. That's what pays for building and hosting new games every week. We try to keep ads non-intrusive, and you're always in control of your data — see our Privacy & Cookie Policy and "Manage cookie settings" in the footer.
